Paint Over Graffiti (P.O.G.)

Citizens and volunteers throughout the city report incidents of graffiti to Crime Check at 456-2233.  Please take a digital photo of the graffiti and email your photo to graffiti@spokanesheriff.org along with the address where the graffiti is located. If you cannot take a photo, contact your local C.O.P.S. Substations for assistance.

Victims are encouraged to cover or remove the graffiti as soon as possible.

There is a direct relationship between the decrease in damage to property and the efficiency of graffiti removal from public areas. Research and experience show that rapid removal with 24 hours is the most  effective way to reduce repeat attacks of illegal graffiti.  The City of Spokane needs its citizens to help stop graffiti vandalism.

Remember…graffiti attracts graffiti.  The sooner it can be removed from a property, the less chance it will be hit again.  If unable to remove the graffiti due to financial hardship or physical limitations, your local C.O.P.S. Substation can arrange to have it covered up.  You will then need to sign a Waiver of Liability.

Contact your local C.O.P.S. Substations for more information.
